Stalker Pumps is a division of Malcolm Thompson Pumps and a proudly Australian-owned business that makes superior quality, Australian-made pumps.
It is a remarkable accomplishment to reach a century in business and one that would not be possible without a consistent, unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality pumps and services to Australia and beyond.
The Stalker Pumps journey started in 1923 with Fred Stalker, who saw a growing demand for pumping equipment in Western Australia’s fledgling mining industry. Stalker Pumps quickly became a leading supplier of pumps to the mining industry, and its reputation for quality and reliability spread throughout Australia.
In the 1930s, Fred Stalker was joined by his two sons, Les and Ron, who helped to expand the business. The company continued to grow and diversify, and by the 1970s, Stalker Pumps was supplying pumps to customers worldwide.
By the 1990s, Stalker Pumps had continued to evolve, introducing several new pump ranges – including the Compact Series, the ISO Series, and the APC Range. These pumps were designed to meet the specific needs of different industries, and they helped to solidify Stalker’s reputation as a leading pump manufacturer.
In 2008, after over 85 years of ownership, the Stalker family decided to sell the business to new owners. Subsequently, in 2015, Malcolm Thompson Pumps, a wholly Australian-owned and managed private company specialising in pumping systems, acquired the company. MTP has since continued to proudly grow and nurture the business.
As of today, Stalker Pumps is a leading supplier of pumps to the mining, civil, oil and gas, and industrial sectors. The company strongly focuses on innovation and constantly develops new pump technologies to meet our customers’ ever-growing needs and requirements.
