We have added the Aquaplus SDMA Submersible Slurry Pump to our range, and it is a solid addition for anyone dealing with mud water, heavy sediment or slurry on Australian job sites.
There is a real difference between a pump that can cope with dirty water and one that is built specifically for it.
What Makes the SDMA Different?
It is built for slurry, not adapted for it.
The impeller and agitator are both made from high chrome alloy – a wear-resistant material that holds up against the sand, grit and silt that quickly destroys standard pump components. The semi vortex impeller design keeps solids moving through rather than packing up and causing blockages. On a working construction site, that means less downtime and less babysitting the pump.
It is fully submersible and available in both single phase and three phase, making it practical for a wide range of site power setups.
Where Does the SDMA Fit?
It is well suited to:
- Construction sites and civil works – excavations, trenches and foundations where the water is thick with silt and sand
- Basements and utility pits – direct placement into sump conditions, even with high sediment loads
- Stormwater and rainwater runoff – particularly where clay-heavy soils turn runoff into a muddy slurry
- General mud water applications – anywhere standard drainage pumps fall short
Single Phase or Three Phase?
Both models share the same performance and build quality. Single phase suits smaller sites or locations without three phase supply. Three phase is the preferred option where that power source is available.
